X-Small Cork
rePotme is happy to carry the finest grade natural cork from Portugal. Cork is a renewable resource and is actually the bark from the cork tree, which is carefully removed by experienced professional harvesters and the tree then grows a new thick coat of bark, almost like sheep grow wool! Orchids love growing in, on and around cork like the type we carry because the roots work their way in and around the craggy surfaces and texture. The added benefit of cork for orchids is that it holds virtually no water, lasts very very long and mixes well with other media to make spectacular mix combinations. Mixes made with cork are typically quite open and airy which is perfect for most orchids. We carry multiple sizes of cork pieces: x-small is less than 1/4 inch, small is 1/4 inch, medium is 1/2 inch and large is 1 inch. You can also find cork mounts in our Orchid Supplies section. The mounts are also from Portugal and are solid larger pieces as big as 8 inches by 8 inches or even larger by special request.
