Small Monterey Pine Bark

rePotme is pleased to offer New Zealand Monterey Pine Bark in both small and medium chips. This extraordinary media is very dark and rich and the smell is sweet. This aged Monterey Pine Bark does not decompose as quickly as fir bark, has a more stable PH and is an organic renewable resource. Monterey Pine Bark was discussed in the article called Growing the Best Phalaenopsis in the February 2007 edition of Orchids, the Journal of the American Orchid Society, as a favorable media for orchid cultivation noting its ability to hold moisture and nutrients at a higher PH resulting in better orchid growth. Monterey Pine Bark was also recognized in a related article printed in Greenhouse Grower magazine in August 2005. Each piece of small Monterey Pine Bark is roughly 1/4 inch.
